MOTOmami trend
It's probably not a trend that's widespread enough to make any noise yet, but something really interesting for our world is starting to emerge.
What are we talking about?
As you can understand from the title of this article, we are mentioning motorcycles.
No, we don't want to talk about the new 2022 Harley Nightster , but rather about the fact that motorcycle clothing is taking hold in high fashion .
And so it will probably be coming more and more onto our streets?
Let's hope so!

In the meantime, how are we approaching this style?
Already at Sanremo 2022, with Rkomi 's entrance in a completely leather style, gloves included, he left some people speechless given the combinations for the other competitors.
A few months later, the artist Rosalia arrives, who with her new album Motomami decides to sponsor it with motorcycle clothing branded BILT , and whose cover wears a motorcycle helmet (and nothing else). Oh and by the way, clothing also worn at the Met Gala 2022 ; as they say, fashion move over !
The biker style trend has also insinuated itself thanks to many other fragments derived from brands such as Chanel , Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga , which with their due reinterpretations have proposed the physiognomic traits of technical clothing for high speeds on two wheels.
Obviously we are re-proposing a trend that started many years ago.
Introduced in 1928 by designer Schott NYC , the first real motorcycle-derived garment called PERFECTO , has become a must-have over the years and that you probably have in your closet too. That's right, the one with the side zip that we commonly call CHIODO .
From bikers to rockers all over the world, including immortal icons such as Marlon Brando and artists like the Ramones , have elected the leather uniform to define a rebellious subculture , so much so that it has not been ignored on the catwalks. First of all Yves Saint Laurent , for Dior .

The contemporary biker aesthetic has two main declinations. The first, inspired by Y2K trends (2000s) and manga, in which miniskirts are combined with denim and leather motorcycle jackets, and a second, a little more romantic, in which details such as pearls or trulle are added to the leather.
But there is a third group of designers who are also more attracted by the technical side of items for two wheels. Maria Grazia Chiuri of Dior , for the FW22 collection, signed a partnership with D-Air Lab , for the development of wearable protective technologies and with which she created gloves, belts and even bodices.
But it's not just the fashion world that has been fascinated by bikers.
As mentioned above, the biker jacket became a must-have also thanks to the influencers of the time, who brought a garment intended for a male audience since its conception, also towards the fairer sex, creating however the genesis of the moto-biker style combination.
Just to name a few: Zoe Kravitz in the latest Batman movie, Pamela Anderson in Barb Wire and most of all Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider, Gone in 60 Seconds and even in Hackers, who even though she didn't ride a motorbike, the leather-bound style dominated between trousers and jackets.

If once it was the protagonists of the films that defined the biker boom, now it's the owners of social media who do it.
From Kendall Jenner to Kim Kardashian , who poses with a helmet on the cover of Sports Illustrated , to Jacquemus ' latest post in which Sydney Sweeney poses on top of an enduro motorbike in a Hawaiian climate, dressed in tennis gear.

If any of you might be inspired or curious about this interesting trend-style, you can search on social media using the hashtags #bikeraesthetic , #bikeraestheticgirl , #bikerstyle or #bikerjacket .
